Define on a field F an n-ary operation by \([x_ 1x_ 2...x_ n]=\alpha_ 1x_ 1+\alpha_ 2x_ 2+...+\alpha_ nx_ n\), where \(\alpha_ 1,\alpha_ 2,...,\alpha_ n\in F\). Let B be the class of n- groupoids defined in this way on the Galois fields GF(p) and (\({\mathbb{R}},[ ])\) be an n-groupoid defined on the real field \({\mathbb{R}}\). It is shown that the equational theory of (\({\mathbb{R}},[ ])\) is precisely that of the class B iff the constants \(\alpha_ 1,\alpha_ 2,...,\alpha_ n\), used in the definition of the n-groupoid (\({\mathbb{R}},[ ])\), are algebraically independent.
