In 1927 \textit{R. Baer} [S.-Ber. Heidelb. Akad., 8. Abhl., 3--13 (1927; JFM 53.0118.01)] and later in 1931 \textit{W. Krull} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 167, 160--196 (1932; Zbl 0004.09802, JFM 58.0148.02)] showed that every non-archimedean ordering of a commutative field induces a non-trivial valuation. They also characterized those valuations on a field which yield orderings. Their procedure was later extended to skew-fields by \textit{P. Conrad} in 1954 [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 5, 323--328 (1954; Zbl 0055.03203)]. In a valued near-field the residue class structure is not necessarily a near-field and hence the methods for fields are not available for near- fields. In this paper an appropriate new concept called \(K\)-ordering for near-fields is introduced and the complete connection between \(K\)-orderings and valuations on near-fields is described.
