    Let k be a cardinal and \(A^+\), \(B^+\) abelian groups. A homomorphism f: \(A^+\to B^+\) is said to be a k-small homomorphism if \(| Im f| <k\). A ring K is called a splitting extension of a ring R by an ideal \(J\trianglelefteq K\), if there are ring homomorphisms \(R\to^{\alpha}K\to^{\beta}R\) with the properties \(\beta \alpha =1_ R\) and Ker \(\beta\) \(=J.\) Theorem (V\(=L\)). Let k be a regular cardinal \((k>\aleph_ 0)\), R an integral domain, \(| R| <k\) and the additive group \(R^+\) of the ring R is a torsion free reduced group. Then there exists a set of R- modules \(\{A_ i|\) \(i<2^ k\}\), which are R-submodules if the R- module \(\prod_{k}R\) and for each \(i<k\) the following conditions hold: 1) \(| A_ i| =k\); 2) any subset M with cardinality smaller than k of \(A_ i\) can be embedded in some R-module \(M^*\) which is a direct summand of \(A_ i\) and \(| M^*| <k\); 3) any homomorphism \(f_{ij}:* A^+_ i\to A^+_ j\) (i\(\neq j)\) is a k-small homomorphism; 4) the endomorphism ring \(E(A^+_ i)\) is a splitting extension of the ring R by the ideal \(E_ k(A^+_ i)\) of the k-small endomorphisms of the group \(A^+_ i\).
