The problem of choosing integration and collocation points is investigated for the Cauchy singular integral equation \[ a(x)g(x)+\frac{b(x)}{\pi}\int^{1}_{-1}\frac{g(t)dt}{t- x}+\int^{1}_{-1}k(t,x)g(t)dt=f(x), \] -1\(<x<1\). It is proved that for Gauss-Chebyshev integration and collocation it is not necessary to choose the integration and collocation points in a special way, and the solvability of the corresponding system is proved in a general case. Four different special choices are discussed which either simplify the system of equations or provide higher order of accuracy of the quadrature rules. The paper is concluded with a numerical example.
