Two convex polytopes are nearly neighbourly if there exists a separating hyperplane that intersects each of them by a facet. It is shown that each nearly neighbourly family of standard boxes in \(\mathbb{R}^3\) has at most 12 elements. A classification of all 12-element nearly neighbourly families of boxes is given.
