In this paper the author studies the Schrödinger-Hartree equation for space dimension \(N\geq 2\) in the energy space. He considers the problem of identifying a sharp criteria under which finite time blow-up versus global well-posedness and scattering is obtained. To do so he uses the concentration compactness-rigidity method developed by Kenig and Merle and the results provided on [\textit{B. Feng} and \textit{X. Yuan}, Evol. Equ. Control Theory 4, No. 4, 431--445 (2015; Zbl 1335.35230)] and [\textit{J. Holmer} and \textit{S. Roudenko}, Commun. Math. Phys. 282, No. 2, 435--467 (2008; Zbl 1155.35094)].
