The authors study a one-dimensional isentropic relativistic Euler system on \(R\) with a Chaplygin equation of state. The initial conditions are of the Riemann type: piecewise constant with a jump in the origin, both for the velocity and the density. The solution of the Riemann problem are constructed: they are of four different combinations of shock and rarefaction waves. Solution of the zero-pressure limit is also constructed and vanishing-pressure limits of the solutions are compared to the latter. Phenomena of concentration and cavitation are shown to be possible.
