The paper explores an abelian type result defining the relation between quasi-asymptotic boundedness of tempered distributions and the asymptotics of their directional short-time Fourier transform. Also discussed are abelian-Tauberian results under certain assumptions. It is known that in Tauberian theory we determine the asymptotic behavior of a classical or generalized function from a prior knowledge of the asymptotic behavior of some integral transform of that function under consideration. This paper also investigates Tauberian theorems characterizing the quasi-asymptotic behavior of a tempered distribution in terms of the asymptotics of its directional short-time Fourier transform with fixed direction. Section 2 contains several fundamental notions employed in the paper, e.g., integrable functions, inner product, smooth or well behaved functions, and dual pairing. As mentioned in the paper, all dual spaces used are equipped with the strong dual topology. There is mention of the Schwartz distribution space, and the space of tempered distributions which is the dual of the Schwartz space, locally integrable functions are defined with reference to equation~(2.2). DSTFT (directional short-time Fourier transform) and quasi-asymptotic boundedness of distributions are explained in Section~3. An abelian type result relating the quasi-asymptotic boundedness of tempered distributions to the asymptotics of their DSTFT is given in Section~3.2, supported by a brief but well explained proof. Employing the definition of the DSTFT with fixed directional parameter, in Section~4 we find some Tauberian results characterizing the quasi-asymptotic behavior of distributions in the dual of the Schwartz distribution space in terms of their DSTFT with fixed direction (see~4.1). In Propositions~4.2 and 4.3, by using the Lemma~4.1, abelian and Tauberian type results are investigated. Propositions 4.5 and 4.6 conclude the investigation of Section~4.
