This paper presents new formulas for the area of a lattice polygon and a lattice polyhedron. In the two dimensional case, the formula for the area \(A(P)\) of a polygon \(P\) is \(A(P)=w+\frac{p}{2}+\frac{b}{2}\), where \(w\), \(b\), and \(p\) denote the numbers of whole, boundary, and partial segments. A lattice segment is the segment connecting two lattice points belonging to the lattice graph and containing no other lattice points. A whole segment is a lattice segment situated, possibly without its endpoints, in the interior of \(P\); a boundary segment is a lattice segment that belongs to \(\partial P\); a partial segment is a lattice segment that crosses \(\partial P\) and whose intersection with the interior of \(P\) is not empty. For three dimensions a similar formula, based on segments, is conjectured. The bibliography misses the treasure trove of higher-dimensional Pick-like formulas gathered in [\textit{K. Kołodziejczyk} and \textit{J. Reay}, Expo. Math. 26, No. 1, 41--53 (2008; Zbl 1137.52005)].
