[\textit{S. Fomin}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 353, No. 9, 3563--3583 (2001; Zbl 0973.15014)] generalized the reflection principle for non-intersecting random walks to two-dimensional walks with a loop-erasure condition: walk \(i\) does not intersect the loop-erasure of walk \(i-1\). The authors prove an affine version, enumerating walks in a circular strip. The scaling limits of these random-walk problems give analogous results for Brownian motion, which have connections to random matrices. This was first developed in [\textit{M. Sato} and \textit{M. Katori}, ``Determinantal correlations of Brownian paths in the plane with nonintersection condition on their loop-erased parts'', Phys. Rev. E 83, No. 4, Article ID 041127, 12 p. (2011; \url{doi:10.1103/PhysRevE.83.041127})]. New examples give rise to Cauchy-type domains. The affine generalization gives a connection between loop-erased non-intersecting Brownian motions in an annulus and the circular orthogonal ensemble.
