Let\( A \subseteq \texttt{SL}_{n}(\mathbb{R})\) be the diagonal subgroup and \(X_{n}=\texttt{SL}_{n}(\mathbb{R})/ \texttt{SL}_{n}(\mathbb{Z})\) be the space of lattices. The conjecture of Minkowski says that for every \(\Lambda \in X_{n}\) and \( p \in \mathbb{R}^{n}\) there exist \(a \in A \) and \(v \in \Lambda\) such that \(||a(p-v)|| \leq \frac{\sqrt{n}}{2}.\) The conjecture has been proved for \( n \leq 9\). The Remak-Davenport approach was used in the first proofs for \( n\leq 5.\) Let \(\texttt{WR}_{n} \subseteq X_{n}\) be the set of well rounded lattices. To prove Minkowski's conjecture using the Remak-Davenport approach, it is enough to prove the following two statements \\ \((\texttt{W}_{n})\) For every lattice \(\Lambda \in X_{n}\) we have \(A\Lambda \cap \texttt{WR}_{n}\neq \emptyset.\)\\ \((\texttt{C}_{n})\) For every \(\Lambda \in \texttt{WR}_{n}\), \[ \sup_{p\in \mathbb{R}^{n}} \inf_{v\in \Lambda} ||p-v||\leq \frac{\sqrt{n}}{2}.\] It was proved by Regev, Shapira and Weiss in [\textit{O. Regev} et al., Duke Math. J. 166, No. 13, 2443--2446 (2017; Zbl 1380.11086)] that \((\texttt{C}_{n})\) is false for \( n \geq 30\) and so the approach of Remak-Davenport is not applicable in general. \textit{U. Shapira} and \textit{B. Weiss} [J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS) 18, No. 8, 1753--1767 (2016; Zbl 1370.11074)] had suggested a similar approach replacing the set of well-rounded lattices by the set of stable lattices. In [J. Am. Math. Soc. 18, No. 3, 711--734 (2005; Zbl 1132.11034)] \textit{C. T. McMullen} had proved that any bounded orbit closure \( \overline{A\Lambda }\subseteq X_{n}\) intersects \(\texttt{WR}_{n}\). It was proved by \textit{M. Levin} et al. in [Groups Geom. Dyn. 10, No. 4, 1211--1225 (2016; Zbl 1368.22005)] that every closed orbit \( A \Lambda \subseteq X_{n}\) intersects \(\texttt{WR}_{n}\). In [Zbl 1370.11074] Shapira and Weiss also proved that orbit closure \( \overline{A\Lambda}\subseteq X_{n} \) intersects the set of stable lattices \(\texttt{ST}_{n} \) and so the analog of \((C_{n})\), when \(\texttt{WR}_{n}\) is replaced by \(\texttt{ST}_{n} \), implies Minkowski's Conjecture. In this paper it is proved that for every \(\Lambda \in X_{n}\), the orbit \(A\Lambda\) intersects \(\texttt{ST}_{n}\) and \(\texttt{WR}_{n}\) with respect to any norm. It strengthens the results of Levin et al. [loc. cit.], McMullen [loc. citl.] and Shapira and Weiss [loc. cit.]. It also proves \((\texttt{WR}_{n})\). The proof is based on the result of McMullen [loc. cit.] and is a combination of a topological claim and some lattice geometry.
