Let \((A,\mathfrak{m})\) be a complete equi-charcteristic Gorenstein isolated singularity of dimension \(d\) and assume that \(k=A/\mathfrak{m}\) is algebraically closed and \(A\) does not have finite representation type. Let \(\Gamma(A)\) be the Auslander-Reiten quiver of \(A\). It is proved that some canonically defined properties \(P\) of maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules define a union of connected components of \(\Gamma(A)\), i.e. if there is a maximal Cohen-Macaulay module satisfying \(P\) then there exists a family \(\{M_n\}_{n \in \mathbb N}\) of indecomposable maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules satisfying \(P\) with multiplicity \(e(M_n)>n\). It is proved that the stable quiver has many symmetries. As an application it is proved in case \(\dim(A)=2\) and \(e(A)\geq 3\) there exists an indecomposable self-dual maximal Cohen-Macaulay module of rank \(n\) for all \(n \geq 1\).
