Let \(D=\{z\in \mathbf{C}: |z|<1\}\). The spectrum \(\sigma(\Theta)\) of an inner function \(\Theta\) is the complement of the set of points \(p\in \partial D\) such that \(\Theta\) has an analytic continuation into a neighborhood of \(p\). Then \(\partial D\setminus \sigma (\Theta)=\bigsqcup_j I_j\), where \(I_j\) are open arcs, called analytic arcs. The authors classify the analytic arcs of inner functions. They also construct a counterexample to a result from [\textit{T. Cao-Huu} and \textit{D. Ghişa} Mathematica 49(72), No. 2, 139--148 (2007; Zbl 1164.30024)] and fix a gap.
