By the Paley-Wiener-Schwartz theorem entire functions of exponential type stand out from the space \(L^p(\mathbb{R})\) by the boundedness spectrum conditions, that is their Fourier transforms are distributions with compact supports. For the complex-valued functions on an arbitrary locally compact Vilenkin group \(G\) there are natural analogues of these functions (such functions are called functions with bounded spectrum on \(G\)). A description of certain function spaces in terms of the best approximations is obtained and some embedding theorems by the functions with bounded spectrum on Vilenkin groups are proved. In particular, a Jackson-type theorem for the Lipschitz classes \(\mathrm{Lip}(\alpha,p; G)\) is proved. In connection with these results, it can be noted that functions with bounded spectrum are used in some constructions of wavelets and frames on Vilenkin groups (see, e.g., [\textit{Yu. A. Farkov}, Eur. J. Math. 5, No. 1, 250--267 (2019; Zbl 1418.42047)]).
