On the convergence analysis of a time dependent elliptic equation with discontinuous coefficients (Q2281674)

The paper under review is concerned with the study of the linear heat equation with diffusion coefficient that varies depending on the heterogeneity of the domain. The main contribution of this paper is a spectral elements discretization method with the mortar domain decomposition method on the space variable. The corresponding Euler implicit scheme is developed with respect to the time. The final part of this paper is devoted to the justification of the convergence analysis as well as to optimal error estimates.
