In the present work, the authors study the Morse-Sard theorem in the context of the Luzin \(N\)-property. Investigating the regular mappings of Euclidean spaces (\(v:{{\mathbb{R}}^{n}}\to {{\mathbb{R}}^{d}}\)), they study the distortion of the Hausdorff dimension of a given set in \({{\mathbb{R}}^{n}}\). The investigations are provided under some restrictions on the rank of the gradient of the mapping \(v\) on the given set. They solve the problem with the Luzin \(N\)-property for Sobolev and fractional Sobolev classes as well. It must be noted that all considerations for the Sobolev case are provided under minimal integrability assumptions that guarantee in general only the continuity of a mapping (rather than differentiability everywhere). In addition, some new facts are found out in the classical smooth case.
