The logistic equation with delay and diffusion is an important problem in ecology and biology. This paper studies the behavior of all solutions of this problem in a small neighborhood of the zero equilibrium state. It is concluded that, as the diffusion coefficient decreases, the local dynamics can become more complicated. In particular, multistability and the existence of irregular oscillations may occur.
