Nondegenerate motion of singular points in obstacle problems with varying data (Q2284631)

The authors study the singular free boundaries in the obstacle problem in some settings when the data are varying, and present three applications of their results. They show that the boundaries of distinct mean value sets centered at the same point do not intersect in the case of smooth elliptic divergence form operators and the Laplace-Beltrami operator on a smooth manifold.
