In this article, the authors discuss orbits of Galois groups for transcendental field extensions. The problem investigated in this paper is the classification of rational functions, or more general, rational mappings, with respect to the group \(\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb{C})\) of Möbius transformations. The authors find the fields of rational differential invariants and the corresponding ordinary differential equations that describe orbits. These equations are automorphic ordinary differential equations (up to order 6), i.e., differential equations whose symmetry group acts in a transitive way on the solution space. Moreover, all solutions of these equations are rational.
