A semitopological semigroup \(S\) is said to be \(\sigma \)-extremely left amenable if there exists a finite set \(F\) of multiplicative left invariant means such that \(\ell _{s}^{\ast }F=F\) for every \(s\in S\), where \(\ell _{s}^{\ast }\) denotes the dual to the left translation operator. In the paper under review, it is shown that every jointly continuous representation of a \(\sigma \)-extremely left amenable semigroup \(S\) on a compact convex subset \(C\) of a Hausdorff locally convex space has a common fixed point.
