In a previous paper [Commun. Math. Phys. 257, No. 1, 29--42 (2005; Zbl 1080.83002)], \textit{P. T. ChruĊciel} et al. generated initial data for the Einstein equations using a gluing technique. In this paper it is shown that for sufficiently large values of the gluing parameter the space-times are both future and past null geodesically incomplete.
