Common solution for a finite family of minimization problem and fixed point problem for a pair of demicontractive mappings in Hadamard spaces (Q2293223)

The authors propose a proximal point algorithm and study the \(\Delta\)-convergence (Theorem 3.1) and strong convergence (Theorems 4.1 and 4.2) of the corresponding sequence by an iterative method. Highlights of the paper are that Hadamard spaces (in contrast to Hilbert or Banach spaces) and demi-contractive mappings (in contrast to nonexpansive, nonspreading, quasi-nonexpansive mappings) are considered. Nevertheless, the results and methods of proof are standard.
