In [Sel. Math., New Ser. 25, No. 4, Paper No. 58, 41 p. (2019; Zbl 1442.13076)], \textit{K. Lee} and \textit{R. Schiffler} gave a formula to express Jones polynomials for 2-bridge knots as specializations for cluster variables. In this paper, the authors present another concrete connection between cluster algebras and knot theory. Using ancestral triangles and positive continued fractions, they find specializations of the cluster variables which are identified with Alexander polynomials for 2-bridge knots.
