Traveling wave solutions for surface diffusion of plane curves are investigated for an evolving plane curve with two endpoints thst can move freely on the \(x\)-axis with generating constant contact angles. The authors study the existence, the uniqueness and the convexity of traveling waves. Interestingly, the uniqueness and the convexity can be lost depending on the chosen contact angles, while the existence (of traveling waves) holds for any contact angles.
