The authors investigate the well-posedness and the large-time behavior of the solutions of anisotropic degenerate parabolic-hyperbolic equations coupled with bounded initial datum lying in the Banach space of the Besicovitch almost periodic functions. The authors establish the well-posedness and asymptotic decay of Besicovitch almost periodic entropy solutions extending the method introduced in \textit{G.-Q. Chen} and \textit{B. Perthame} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 137, No. 9, 3003--3011 (2009; Zbl 1176.35031)]. The extension consists in upgrading the analysis framework from the paper [loc. cit.], to the Bohr compact group which is the compactification of \(\mathbb{R}^d\) induced by the space of uniform (Bohr) almost periodic functions, using a classical theorem of Stone. As regards the results obtained, the authors prove that for bounded initial data there exists a unique weak entropy solution to the anisotropic degenerate parabolic-hyperbolic equations. If in addition the bounded initial datum is also in the space of the Besicovitch almost periodic functions, the entropy solution is a continuous Besicovitch almost periodic function that assymptotically decay to the mean value of the initial datum. This article contains very interesting ideas allowing to understand the asymptotic behaviour of some periodic solutions. I think that it will certainly interest a wide range of researchers in the field.
