A variety of loops is said to satisfy Moufang's theorem if, for every loop \(Q\) in the variety, the following assertion holds: The subloop generated by three elements \(x,y,z\in Q\) satisfying that \(x(yz) = (xy)z\) is always a loop. This short note deals with the problem concerning the existence of non-Moufang loops satisfying Moufang's theorem. To this end, the authors focus on Steiner loops, which are loops satisfying both identities \(xy=yx\) and \(x(xy)=y\). More specifically, they prove that every Steiner loop satisfying the identity \((xz)(((xy)z)(yz)) = ((xz)((xy)z))(yz)\) satisfies Moufang's theorem and it is not contained in the variety of Moufang's loops.
