The authors consider two-dimensional full non-isentropic compressible Euler equations for an ideal fluid, focusing on self-similar (pseudo-steady) solutions. The Riemann initial-value problem is in this class. The initial-value problem for the 2D Euler system becomes a boundary-value problem in \(\mathbb{R}^2\) for the problem in self-similar variables at infinity. By using special set of new variables, the authors transform the system, describe its degeneracy ner the sonic curve, and apply the fixed-point approach to establish existence of local smooth solution.
