Throughout this review \(G\) will denote a locally compact group and \(p, q\) and \(r\) will be real numbers that satisfy \(1 \leq p, q, r < \infty\). A Beurling weight function is a measurable and locally integrable function \(\vartheta \colon G \rightarrow [1, \infty)\) that satisfies \(\vartheta (x +y) \leq \vartheta (x) \vartheta (y)\) for all \(x, y \in G\). For the rest of this review \(\vartheta_k\), where \(k \in \mathbb{Z}^+\), will always denote a Beurling weight function. Let \(L^r_{\vartheta_1}(G)\) be the weighted Lebesgue space. The amalgam space with double weights is the normed space \[ (L^p_{\vartheta_2}, \ell^q_{\vartheta_3}) = \{ f \in L^p_{\mathrm{loc}}(G) \colon \Vert f \Vert_{pq, \vartheta_2, \vartheta_3} < \infty \}. \] The main object of study in this paper is the vector space \[ B^{r, p, q}_{\vartheta_1, \vartheta_2, \vartheta_3}(G) = L^r_{\vartheta_1}(G) \cap (L^p_{\vartheta_2}, \ell^q_{\vartheta_3}). \] This space can be endowed with a norm defined by \[ \Vert f\Vert_{\vartheta_1, \vartheta_2, \vartheta_3}^{r, p, q} = \Vert f \Vert_{r, \vartheta_1} + \Vert f \Vert_{pq, \vartheta_2, \vartheta_3}, \] where \(f \in B^{r, p, q}_{\vartheta_1, \vartheta_2, \vartheta_3}(G)\). The authors prove several results for this space. We mention a few. With respect to the above norm \(B^{r, p, q}_{\vartheta_1, \vartheta_2, \vartheta_3}(G)\) is a Banach space, furthermore it is also shown that \(B^{r, p, q}_{\vartheta_1, \vartheta_2, \vartheta_3}(G)\) is translation invariant. When \(r=1, p>1\) and \(\vartheta_1 \prec \vartheta_2\) or \(\vartheta_2 \prec \vartheta_1, B^{1, p, q}_{\vartheta_1, \vartheta_2, \vartheta_3}(G)\) is a Banach algebra with respect to convolution, it fact it is further shown that it is a Segal type algebra. Results are also given concerning multipliers on \(B^{1, p, q}_{\vartheta_1, \vartheta_2, \vartheta_3}(G)\) and for compact embeddings in the special case \(G = \mathbb{R}^d\)
