Unramified Whittaker functions for certain Brylinski-Deligne covering groups (Q2300664)

Explicit values of unramified Whittaker functions and their analogues play an important role in the arithmetic aspect of automorphic forms, e.g., the construction of \(L\)-functions via the integral representation method. In this paper, under some technical conditions, the author calculates some values of unramified Whittaker functions for induced theta representations of Brylinski-Deligne covering groups of general linear groups. Along the way, the author generalizes a useful inductive formula for unramified Whittaker functions with respect to a Levi subgroup for Kazhdan-Patterson covering groups to general Brylinski-Deligne covering groups. It would be quite interesting to see whether the author could relax the technical conditions and extend the main result to general Brylinski-Deligne covering groups. The proofs use standard and straightforward techniques.
