The model under consideration describes the interaction of a viscous incompressible fluid and a nonlinear elastic structure in a bounded domain. It is assumed that the elastic body is a general nonlinear material. The interaction takes place on a free surface that separates the fluid and the body. The dissipative mechanism on the interface describes by the natural transmission conditions which involve the velocity and the stress. Under the smallness assumptions on the data, global existence of the smooth solution to the dissipative fluid nonlinear structure system is obtained. The authors derive a-priory estimates for different levels of energy and prove that for the small initial data the total energy of the system decay exponentially.
