In this paper, the authors show that the eigenvalues of the fourth-order BVPs for a large class of self-adjoint BCs depend continuously on the problems: the end points, the boundary conditions and the coefficients functions, and further also show that the eigenvalues are differentiable functions of the parameters of BCs and find the formulas for their derivatives. Different from other papers, here used the real fundamental canonical forms of self-adjoint BCs rather than special cases of self-adjoint BCs. The BCs not only include the separated and coupled real fundamental canonical forms of self-adjoint BCs but also include the mixed case which is previously unknown, and the results can be transferred into all other real self-adjoint BCs.
