Constructing new differentially 4-uniform permutations from known ones (Q2302596)

Relying on the paper of \textit{Z. Zha} et al. [Finite Fields Appl. 25, 64--78 (2014; Zbl 1305.94084)], the authors propose a new construction of differentially \(4\)-uniform permutations from known ones and the inverse functions. The idea is to split \(\mathbb{F}_{q^n}\) into its subfield \(\mathbb{F}_q\) and its remainder and then they choose a known differentially \(4\)-uniform permutation over \(\mathbb{F}_q\) and the inverse function over \(\mathbb{F}_{q^n}\).
