Let \(G\) be a finite group and \(\operatorname{cs}(G)\) the set of conjugacy class sizes of \(G\). \textit{A. R. Camina} and \textit{R. D. Camina} in [Asian-Eur. J. Math. 2, No. 2, 183--190 (2009; Zbl 1185.20024)], proved that if \(G\) has the property that given any three distinct conjugacy class sizes greater than 1, there is a pair which is coprime, then \(|\operatorname{cs} (G) | \leq 4\) and \(G\) is solvable. On the other hand, if \(\operatorname{cs} (G)= 2\) then \(G\) is nilpotent [\textit{N. Itô}, Nagoya Math. J. 6, 17--28 (1953; Zbl 0053.01202)] and if \(\operatorname{cs}(G)=3\), then \(G\) is solvable, [\textit{S. Dolfi} and \textit{E. Jabara}, Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 41, No. 5, 916--926 (2009; Zbl 1188.20021)]. Consequently, \(G\) is solvable if there exists a unique composite number in \(\operatorname{cs}(G)\). The paper under review provides a detailed description of finite groups that have only one composite conjugacy class size (Theorem A).
