    The asymptotic properties of the least squares cross-validation selector and the direct plug-in rule selector in the kernel density estimation for circular data have been derived. In the paper, simulation shows that the direct plug-in rule selector has more stability than the least squares cross-validation selector for small and large sample sizes.
