A new concept of slope for a set-valued map is proposed. The concept is introduced by using a scalarization function based in the Hiriart-Urruty signed distance function. Then, some properties of this slope for a set-valued map are studied, and an application in set optimization with the lower less order relation due to Kuroiwa is also given.
