The authors consider the equation \(-\Delta u+\frac{\mu}{|x|^2}u+g(u)=\nu\) within the bounded and smooth domain \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^N\) with \(N\geq 2\) containing the origin. The constant parameter \(\mu\) satisfies \(\mu\geq -(N-2)^2/4\). The function \(g\) is a non-decreasing function that satisfies an integral growth condition and a weak \(\Delta_2\)-condition. Here, \(\nu\) is a Radon measure in \(\Omega\). Homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions are prescribed on the boundary of \(\Omega\). Existence and stability of solutions are studied for the problem at hand. The authors show that the behavior depends on whether the measure is diffuse or concentrated at the origin. Additionally, necessary and sufficient conditions for solvability are given when \(g\) is a power function using a capacity framework.
