The authors study the composition operators induced by harmonic mappings on the unit disk \(\mathbb{D}=\{z: |z|<1\}\). A~harmonic mapping is nothing but a harmonic function. The \(\alpha\)-Bloch space is defined for harmonic functions on \(\mathbb{D}\) which satisfy \[\sup_{z\in\mathbb{D}}(1-|z|)^{\alpha}(|h_{z}(z)|+|h_{\overline{z}}(z)|)<\infty.\] The authors also review the harmonic Zygmund space, the harmonic Besov space, the harmonic Dirichlet space and the harmonic space of bounded mean oscillation. Then the authors define composition operators on harmonic function spaces which are closely related to the classical ones on the unit disk. Denote by \(\varphi: \mathbb{D}\rightarrow \mathbb{D}\) a self-analytic map of \(\mathbb{D}\). Recall that the classical composition operator \(C_{\varphi}\) is defined as follows: for an analytic function \(f\) on \(\mathbb{D}\), \((C_{\varphi})f(z)=f(\varphi(z))\). In the present paper, the authors prove that the boundedness, compactness and closed range properties of composition operates in the aforementioned spaces induced by harmonic mappings are equivalent to their counterparts in analytic function spaces. Then the authors also characterize the isometry and eigenvalues in the same way.
