Summary: The goal of this paper is to study fractional calculus of distributions, the generalized Abel's integral equations, as well as fractional differential equations in the distributional space \(\mathcal D'(\mathbb{R}^+)\) based on inverse convolutional operators and {Yu. I. Babenko}'s approach [\textit{C.-K. Li} and \textit{K. Clarkson}, Mathematics 6, No. 3, Paper No. 32, 15 p. (2018; Zbl 1394.45005); \textit{R. Gorenflo} and \textit{F. Mainardi}, ``Fractional calculus: integral and differential equations of fractional order'', in: Fractals and fractional calculus in continuum mechanics (Udine, 1996), 223--276, CISM Courses and Lectures 378, Vienna: Springer (1997; Zbl 1438.26010)]. Furthermore, we provide interesting applications of Abel's integral equations in viscoelastic systems, as well as solving other integral equations, such as \(\int_\theta^{\pi/2} \frac{y(\varphi)}{\cos^\beta \varphi(\cos \theta -\cos \varphi)^\alpha}\, d \varphi = f(\theta)\), and \(\int_0^\infty x^{1/2} g(x) y(x+t)\,dx=f(t)\).
