The author studies the Hölder regularity of plurisubharmonic solutions to complex Monge-Ampère equations in a bounded strictly pseudoconvex domain \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{C}^n\). In particular, generalizing one of his previous results [Calc. Var. Partial Differ. Equ. 57, No. 1, Paper No. 8, 15 p. (2018; Zbl 1388.32029)], he proves that if a Borel measure \(\mu\) is dominated by the Monge-Ampère meaure of an Hölder plurisubharmonic function (vanishing at the boundary \(\partial \Omega\)), then one can solve the Dirichlet problem (that we denote by \((*)\)) \[ u\in \operatorname{PSH}(\Omega)\cap C^{0,\alpha}(\overline{\Omega}), \qquad (dd^c u)^n=\mu \;\, \text{in}\,\Omega, \qquad \lim_{z\rightarrow x} u(z)=\psi(x), \;\, x\in \partial\Omega, \] where \(\psi\) is an Hölder continuous function on the boundary \(\partial \Omega\). This result can be seen as the local version of Theorem 4.3 in [\textit{J.-P. Demailly} et al., J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS) 16, No. 4, 619--647 (2014; Zbl 1296.32012)] that holds for compact Kähler manifolds. As a combination of these two results one can infer that a complex Monge-Ampère equation on a compact Kähler manifold admits an Hölder continuous solution if and only if it can be locally written as the Monge-Ampère measure of an Hölder plurisubharmonic function. As a corollary the author gets the ``local'' \(L^p\)-property: given \(\mu\) such that \((*)\) is solvable and \(0\leq f\in L^p(\Omega, d\mu)\), \(p>1\), then also \(f\mu\) can be written as the Monge-Ampère measure of an Hölder continuous plurisubharmonic function.
