The authors consider solutions to the elliptic \(p(x)\)-Laplacian equation (\(1< p_1 \leq p(x) \leq p_2\)). This paper is in the memory of Vasilii Vasilievich Zhikov who worked in this field. The authors consider a neighborhood of a point \(x_0\) on a hyperplane \(\Sigma\). The function \(p\) has a logarithmic continuity when \(x_0\) is approached from one of the half-spaces separated by \(\Sigma\). The authors prove a Harnack inequality that generalises a Zhikov's result.
