On operators with closed range and semi-Fredholm operators over \(W^*\)-algebras (Q2307870)

The author extends several classical results related to Fredholm and semi-Fredholm operators on Hilbert \(C^{\ast}\)-modules to the notion of \(\mathcal{A}\)-Fredholm and semi-\(\mathcal{A}\)-Fredholm operators on Hilbert \(C^{\ast}\)-module over a \(W^{\ast}\)-algebra \(\mathcal{A}\). In particular, a \(W^{\ast}\)-analogue of the well-known Schechter-Lebow characterization of semi-Fredholm operators and a punctured neighborhood theorem is obtained. Moreover, the author proves an \textit{R. Bouldin} [Tohoku Math. J. (2) 25, 359--363 (1973; Zbl 0269.47002)] type result for bounded adjointable operators with closed range on Hilbert \(C^{\ast}\)-modules.
