On the box-counting dimension of graphs of harmonic functions on the Sierpiński gasket (Q2308385)

The authors provide a construction of fractal interpolation functions and harmonic functions on the Sierpiński gasket \(SG\) following a well-established approach. Conditions on the scaling factors are derived to guarantee that a fractal interpolation function belongs to \(\text{dom }\mathcal{E}\), the space of finite energy functionals on \(SG\). In addition, bounds for the box counting dimension of the graphs of fractal interpolation functions and for harmonic functions on \(SG\) as well as for functions \(f\in \text{dom }\mathcal{E}\) are provided.
