One-parameter Lefschetz class of homotopies on torus (Q2308453)

Let \(T\) be the 2-dimensional torus, \(F:T\times I\to T\) a homotopy on the torus \(T\) and \(\pi_{1}(T,[(0,0)])=\langle u,v\mid [u,v]=1\rangle\) the fundamental group of the torus \(T\). In this paper the author shows that if \(L(F)\) is the one-parameter Lefschetz class of \(F\) and \(N(F)\) is the one-parameter Nielsen number of \(F\) then \(L(F)=\pm N(F)\alpha\), where \(\alpha=\left[u\right]\), which is one of the two generators of \(H_1(\pi_{1}(T,[(0,0)]),\mathbb{Z})\).
