In this paper, the authors study the problem of existence of solutions to nonlinear mixed-type functional ordinary differential equations. The main result is Theorem 4, where conditions for the existence of global solutions for the functional differential equation \[ \frac{d y}{dt}(t)=f(t,y_{tI}), \] where \(f:\mathbb{R}\times C(I,\mathbb{R}^n)\rightarrow\mathbb{R}^n\) is a given functional. For the definition of \(y_{tI}\), see the preliminaries in the paper. The paper is mostly focused on nonlinear problems, although some linear cases are also considered.
