Lifespan of solutions to semilinear damping wave equations in De Sitter spacetime (Q2309313)

This paper is concerned with the study of a class of semilinear damping wave equations describing blow-up phenomena in the de Sitter spacetime. The authors are interested in the blowup and lifespan of solutions for two types of boundary value problems. A feature of the main results established in this paper is that the damping term with a positive bounded time-dependent coefficient does not effect the blowup of solutions. In the final part of this paper, the authors also establish a new ODE blowup result concerning the damping term.
