In this note some families of homogeneous Sasakian manifolds, which are nonformal, are described. The non-formality condition is expressed in terms of characters of a maximal torus in a transitive compact semisimple Lie group (classical of rang \(>7 \) or exceptional \(E_6,E_7,E_8\)). Also it is noted that there are examples of formal compact homogeneous Sasakian manifolds.
