A skew-morphism of a group \(A\) is a permutation \(\phi\) of the elements of \(A\) fixing identity and satisfying the automorphism-like rule \(\phi(ab) = \phi(a)\phi^{\pi(a)}(b)\) for some integer-valued function \(\pi: A \to \mathbb Z.\) The present paper is third in the sequel of the papers attacking the classification of skew-morphisms of cyclic groups. \textit{I. Kovács} and \textit{R. Nedela} proved that, under certain numerical conditions, a skew-morphism of a cyclic group may be decomposed into a direct product of skew-morphisms of cyclic groups of prime power order [Ars Math. Contemp. 4, No. 2, 329--349 (2011; Zbl 1238.05283)]. Then they determined the skew-morphisms of cyclic \(p\)-groups where \(p\) is an odd prime, leaving the case \(p = 2\) open [\textit{I. Kovács} and \textit{R. Nedela}, J. Group Theory 20, No. 6, 1135--1154 (2017; Zbl 1388.20037)]. In this paper, the authors determine the skew-morphisms of cyclic 2-groups.
