    Summary: We consider a discrete fractional boundary value problem of the form \(\Delta^\alpha u(t) = f(t + \alpha - 1, u(t + \alpha - 1))\), \(t \in [0, T]_{\mathbb{N}_0} : = \{0,1, \ldots, T \}\), \(u(\alpha - 2) = 0\), \(u(\alpha + T) = \Delta^{- \beta} u(\eta + \beta)\), where \(1 < \alpha \leq 2\), \(\beta > 0\), \(\eta \in [\alpha - 2, \alpha + T - 1]_{\mathbb{N}_{\alpha - 2}} : = \{\alpha - 2, \alpha - 1, \ldots, \alpha + T - 1 \}\), and \(f : [\alpha - 1, \alpha, \ldots, \alpha + T - 1]_{\mathbb{N}_{\alpha - 1}} \times \mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R}\) is a continuous function. The existence of at least one solution is proved by using Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem and Leray-Schauder's nonlinear alternative. Some illustrative examples are also presented.
