The paper under review gives some nice generalisations of the classical Borsuk-Ulam theorem. Let \(k\geq 0\) and \(n,\, r\geq 1\) be natural numbers, and let \(\zeta = e^{\pi \iota /{2^k}}\). Suppose that \(f : S(\mathbb{C}^n) \to \mathbb{R}^{2r}\) is a continuous map such that \(f(\zeta v)= - f(v)\) for each \(v\in S(\mathbb{C}^n)\). The author uses a connective complex \(K\)-theory version of the Borsuk-Ulam theorem to prove that, if \(n> 2^kr\), then the covering dimension of the set \(\{v\in S(\mathbb{C}^n)\mid f(v)=0 \}\) is at least \(2(n-2^kr-1)\). The paper concludes with a similar result for actions of the subgroup \(\mathbb{T} \cup \mathbb{T}j\) of the group of unit quaternions. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1411.55001].
