The paper under review refers to the first boundary-value problem in $n$ dimensional space for the differential-difference equation with incommensurable shifts of arguments of the form \[ A_{\mathcal{R}}u=-\sum _{i,j=1}^n(\mathcal{R}_{ijQ}u_{x_j})_{x_i}=f(x),\text{ for }x\in Q\text{ and }u{\mid}_{\partial Q}=0. \] In case equation is strongly elliptic in \(Q\) and domain \(Q\) accepts a certain decomposition in nonintersecting subdomains, the stated boundary value problem has a unique solution in some Sobolev space. A result on smoothness of this solution is proved.
